Sahil Chugh is a producer, composer and keyboard player born
and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. For the last ten years he has been an
active member of the Western Canadian music scene. Mostly spending his time touring and in the studio with a wide variety of bands and artists, writing music for short films and theatre, as well as production work with artists such as Jaquie Pearce. Sahil has recorded on over 20 albums*

After receiving a scholarship to attend MacEwan university in 2015, Sahil
had the opportunity to learn from renowned musicians like Chris Andrew, Maria
Schneider, Jean Michel-Pilc and others; helping inform the pursuit of his
own musical project.
Sahil then went on to host various residencies and jam sessions at several
venues in Edmonton between 2017 and 2019, often featuring acclaimed
special guests, often focused on original music.
It was through these efforts that he was able to put in countless hours
writing and performing the music that would eventually make his debut
album Don’t Be Sad.
Don’t be Sad, the debut album by Sahil Chugh, was featured on KEXP
satellite radio, CBC radio one, and charted on CKUA radios weekly top 30 and the Earshot! Jazz charts as well. Sahil has new music in the works and will be releasing and playing more shows in the new year.
